The foundation stepping class is structured training in posture, footwork, rhythm and expressive vocabulary — taught step by step, with attention and care.
Who this class is for?
• People aged 12+ who enjoy physical and mental challenge
• People curious about Indian classical arts
• Movers from yoga, Pilates, martial arts, music, dance or anyone who simply loves to move
• Beginners welcome — no prior dance experience required

Foundations stepping class (new students welcome)
Vasant - Stories of Spring is a journey into the season of spring through the grace and rhythm of Odissi dance.
In this workshop you will dive into the rhythm and melodies of spring according to Indian classical music and dance.
You will explore the soundscape of spring, including the melody and unique rhythmic patterns in Odissi music and dance.
It is an introduction to the language of gesture (hasta mudras) and the art of expressions (abhinaya) when telling stories.
Experience traditional story telling using the hasta mudras and create seasonal stories by transforming through movement.
All levels welcome ages 12+
